Exhibiting at a Bridal Event

Exhibiting at a Bridal Event
Some comments I have for those members who are thinking about exhibiting:
Guest Book:  Make sure you have a guest book and ask anyone who comes to your table to sign it.  (You may want to make some notes (mental or otherwise) as to who you should contact immediately, etc. )
Email List of Participants:  Find out if you will be provided with a list of participants’ email addresses.  If so, you can send them a follow-up email highlighting some of the things that were mentioned during your conversation.  Reiterate any special promotions that will be provided to participants of the event.
Food:  If you are handling food, you should have on protective gloves and your area should remain clean at all times.
Thank You Note:  Send a thank you note to the host for the event.  If you think you would like to continue a business relationship, simply state that in your thank you note(s).
Business Cards:  You have to have them – no questions asked.
Presentation:  You only have one opportunity to impress a potential client.  Presentation is everything.  I was so proud of Xiomara Goldson and Pauline Stoute.  Even though their services were bar none; their presentation supported their branding.  Think outside of the box when preparing for your presentation.  Unique displays and designs get the most attention.
Work Product:  Have available a portfolio or iPod of your work product.  Let potential customers see what you are capable of doing.
Assistant(s):  It is imperative that you have an assistant(s) with you.  This person should be just as knowledgeable about your products as you are.  Never leave your site unattended.
Banner:  If you are going to be participating in expos, it is best that you purchase a table banner with your company’s name, website, telephone number and tagline (if there is sufficient room).
Special Offer(s):  Every participant wants you to offer them something.  You can do this by offering them something of value.
At all times, remain positive.  Enjoy yourself and do not forget to network to your next opportunity, business alliance and experience.
